About

Three decades at the intersection of capital, technology and growth.

Richard Greco — Chairman, Board Director and Investor.

Career

Richard Greco's career has been shaped by a consistent conviction: that the most consequential businesses are built at the intersection of infrastructure, capital and the right people. From the earliest days of commercial satellite communications to the current convergence of space and terrestrial networks, he has been a founder, financier and leader at each inflection point.

Orion Network Systems

Richard was a founding team member and President of Orion Network Systems, one of the first private international satellite communications companies. He played a central role in taking the company public, structuring $710 million in debt financing and ultimately guiding the business to a $1.2 billion acquisition. Orion was a formative experience in building a capital-intensive technology business from the ground up — navigating regulatory complexity, international partnerships and institutional investors simultaneously.

ICO Global Communications

As CEO of ICO Global Communications, Richard led one of the most complex restructurings in the history of the satellite industry. He oversaw a $1.6 billion restructuring and the subsequent sale of the business — a process that required sustained engagement with creditors, regulators, strategic partners and shareholders across multiple jurisdictions. The experience deepened his understanding of capital structure, stakeholder management and the discipline required to preserve and realise value under pressure.

Bulldog Broadband

Richard founded Bulldog Broadband, an early UK broadband provider that brought competitive high-speed internet access to consumers at a time when the market was dominated by the incumbent operator. The business was subsequently acquired by Cable & Wireless, validating both the commercial model and the strategic value of the customer base and infrastructure Richard had assembled.

Current roles

Richard currently serves as Chairman of AccelerComm, a deep-tech company developing advanced wireless technology to improve spectrum efficiency and network performance. He is Co-Chair of New World Angels Space & Defense Ventures, working alongside investors and founders at the frontier of space, defense and emerging technology. These roles reflect his continued commitment to backing founders and boards where his experience in capital markets, international operations and complex technology sectors can make a practical difference.

Philadelphia roots

I grew up in South Philadelphia, just steps from the Italian Market on Ninth Street. I attended St. Nicholas grade school and Central High School before continuing my education at Penn State. From those early days in South Philly, my career has taken me across the United States, the United Kingdom and around the world. But Philadelphia, the neighborhood where I grew up and the values I learned there, will always be an important part of who I am.
